Night at the Races

This fast moving and exciting event is usually run during a formal meal with guests seated at tables of 8 or 10.

Guests are given fun money at the beginning of the evening and betting is done on a totaliser system with odds being announced just before the off.

There are always eight horses in each race and these can be straightforward flat or trotting races.  The races are on DVD with presentation on rear (or front) projection BARCO screen.  We provide an experienced operator, a “Clerk of the Course”, plus tote girls in jockey silks to collect bets and organise pay-outs.

Theming such as winning posts, white railings, picket fencing, mock grass, red & white bunting, horse silhouettes and tote signs etc. are supplied to enhance the overall effect.  At the end of the evening we ask guests to cash in and announce the overall winner who is the person with the most money left, if any!
